Mother and Child
This is a large format painting 4'X 5', for a series of painting depicting humanity as a series figures constructed out of scrap metal and wood, depicting the most human acts as the masses of ghost figures move among them, mostly unaware.
Double Self-Portrait
A doubel self-portrait comparing my image shown in wood to a wooden figure.
Self-Portrait
Simply a self-portrait a little more dramatic than I see myself but a fun exercise
Confrontation
Large 5'X 4' that shows the scrap figures doing possibley the most human act; fighting.
Copulation
Large 5'X 4', two figures copulating also a very human act.
Alone
3'X 5', this was the only scrap figure in a crowd with a solitary figure, being alone in a crowd.
Father
This was part of a series of traditional portraits that I painted of actual scrap figures I painted for a large installation of actual 5 members of a constructed family, fully lifesize.
Big Brother
The largest child in the family series of portraits, tried to make him a little nervous and self concscious, shown by his body position and how he is holding himself.
Mother
The mother has her own personality, I added a bit more dram with the shadow that shows the more skeletal nature of the actual sculpture.
Abstract
I peroidically do a paitings just for myself as a sort state of mind download onto canvas, traditionally thes have been more narative with imagery that can be interpretated more like a narative. For this painting I kept it completely abstract.
A Boy and His Imagination
Being a huge comic book fan, I did a series of paintings focused on my oldest son and his dayly life reinterpreted a series of moments in times as a series of images that show what is scene and thought to get a better sense of the moment.
The Sandbox
The use of three images here show a micro and macro view of a series of moments for a sandbox of toys.
